Master of Malt are a small, rapidly growing start up business based in the heart of Tunbridge Wells that includes a variety of brands, the flagship of which is, of course, Master of Malt. We operate in two distinct industries: Online drinks retail and business consultancy. The customer experience is at the core of our business. It's our foundation. We've created an experience so good, so surprising, so unexpectedly fantastic that people are literally shocked. Shocked out of their daily malaise, shocked into taking notice, shocked enough to tell everyone they know. We've grown because we deliver something remarkable enough to get people talking about it and trying us, and once they do, they almost never leave. We (re-)started MOM because we were fed up buying from companies who were poor, knew it, and didn't care. We were fed up with all the things it seems you have to accept when dealing with online businesses-unanswered emails, being passed from pillar to post by an IVR system that seems designed to make you hang up, and policies which ensure that when you finally do get through to someone, they are powerless to help you. We were fed up with being treated as if we didn't matter, by people who didn't care. Our motto was and remains: " 'good enough', isn't ". What that meant in practise was hiring people who actually wanted to deliver great service and giving them the authority and latitude to do just that . . .
