As part of the Device Security squad, you will play a key role in implementing the next generation of security features in our applications to shape our security posture. As a security developer, you will have the opportunity to implement security features across our full suite of product offerings including macOS, iOS, Android, Windows and Web applications. You’ll also be intimately involved in ensuring secure coding and development practices across our code-base, resolving security vulnerabilities in our products when they arise as well as building and extending libraries around shared security-critical code.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada. This position will be for 4 months - May to August 2026.

What you can expect:

• Work within a small team of developers who are specialists in Rust, Go, Swift, Kotlin and general Security Development

• Implement new security features for the 1Password product suite and develop secure libraries to share common security-critical code across our applications

• Code, test, debug, deliver and maintain production software systems for new and existing product features

• You are a self starter with solid communication skills and demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly on new domains and technologies

Bonus points for:

• Experience with Secure Enclave functionality as well as device-based biometry

• Experience with Authentication and Authorization mechanisms such as SAML, oAuth, OIDC etc.

• Experience with AI tooling to augment design and development

• Personal experience using 1Password

While we are a remote-first company, travel for in-person engagement is a part of most roles. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to: annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events.
