Conceive, design, engineer, and implement enterprise-level software and technology solutions for end-to-end Requisition-to-Pay (R2P) / Procure-to-Pay (P2P) business problems within SAP S4. Responsible for translation of business requirements into technical solutions. Generate related proposals and lead those efforts. Investigate, identify, and implement technology platforms that drive productivity and efficiency gains in Business Technology Solutions (BTS) and across Source-to-Pay (S2P) functional areas. Act as a lead in your area of expertise and critically evaluate relevant technological advances and integrate this knowledge into new business technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively function as the SAP S4 Principal Engineer, generating new technological proposals and leading those efforts. Anticipate and critically evaluate technological advances or competitive threads and respond with appropriate new strategies.
- Serve as functional and technical lead for P2P encompassing, but not limited to, Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order (PO), PO Form, e-Form, Invoices, Non-PO (ACR), Procurement BW, RTR related P2P objects, Interfaces, Testing, E2E integration and connected applications, e-Invoicing, software development lifecycle (SDLC), ITGC (controls)
- Demonstrate creative ‘out of the box’ thinking to solve difficult problems and champion new technologies to achieve project goals.
- Demonstrate mastery across a wide range of technologies and platforms related to software design and development, programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, data analysis, network connectivity, and virtualization/cloud environments.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare business and utilize this knowledge in the rapid advancement of agile, impactful, and cost-effective solutions.
- Recognized and south out as an export in your discipline within the company and externally.
- Shape relationships with affiliates, subsidiaries, vendors, and industry peers in accordance with AbbVie values, Vendor Management office, and Procurement to further the mission, vision, and goals of the organization.
- May mentor/supervise a team of one or more and guide and evaluate the performance of those individuals; is accountable for the effective performance of the team/individuals.
- Keep executive leadership, peers and staff informed through effective verbal and written communication.
- Understand and adhere to corporate standard regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree with 8 years’ experience; Master's Degree with 7 years’ experience; PhD with 3 years’ experience.
- Minimum 3-5+ years experience in SAP S4.
- In‐depth knowledge of the systems development life cycle with SAP, client area’s functions and systems, and systems application program development technological alternatives.
- Techno-functional SAP MM experience for R2P/P2P full software development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a principal investigator, generating original technical ideas and software development strategies.
- Demonstrated creative 'out of the box' thinking to solve difficult technical problems and champion new technologies to achieve project goals.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills, as demonstrated by presenting at leading scientific or technical conferences.
