We are actively recruiting for an Employee Relations Specialist to join the Employee Relations Team to ensure fair, equitable, and consistent treatment to all employees while creating an engaged and safe work environment. The Employee Relations Specialist collaborates with the HR Business Partners to advise leaders on matters of performance, conflict, conduct, and discipline. This integral position will help drive an integrated employee relations (ER) strategy that aligns with Aledade’s mission and overall business strategy.
This is a full-time role reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Relations with the flexibility of working from home.
Primary Duties:
- Consults on a variety of complex employee relations issues, including (but not limited it) performance management, workplace conflicts, and other policy violations
- Working with business leaders, makes recommendations to People Managers for employee performance concerns, including editing and administering Corrective Action Plans
- Partnering with the ER Manager and Legal, conducts internal investigations related to a variety of employee relations allegations, such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and policy violations
- Utilizes the employee relations case management system to ensure appropriate documentation is captured; reviews and tracks case progress for investigation and performance cases
- Helps with identifying gaps within the ER team and provides suggestions on how to address and close opportunities; tracks relevant employee data, metrics, and trends to help identify process improvements and approaches.
- Drives cultural adoption of the employee relations team through communication and training for People Managers and employees; assists with the development of training and facilitates training for People Managers on ER-related topics (such as performance management and leadership best practices)
- Stays updated on related employment law changes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in employee relations, HR Business Partner, or labor/employment law
- Highly skilled in workplace investigations, negotiation, and conflict management
- Deep understanding of US employment law, EEO regulations, workplace anti-discrimination and accommodations related laws, including Title VII, the ADA, the FMLA and their state law equivalents
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations.
