About The Role
What You'll Do
- Independently deliver training for clinical and non-clinical staff on disability benefits access and other behavioral health programs.
- Develop training curricula and materials using adult learning principles, and contribute ongoing updates and improvements.
- Provide coaching and technical assistance to agencies to help improve the quality and success rate of their applications.
- Collect feedback and outcome data to continuously refine your trainings.
- Maintain working knowledge of SSI/SSDI programs, disability determination processes, and recovery-oriented behavioral health practices.
- Apply evidence-informed practices and program evaluation findings to how you design and deliver training.
- Track outcomes and flag opportunities for quality improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with behavioral health providers and community organizations to support training implementation.
- Serve as a day-to-day resource for staff navigating disability benefit processes and best practices.
- Incorporate input from individuals with lived experience to keep trainings relevant and person-centered.
- Contribute to training resources, toolkits, and guides used statewide.
- Collaborate with fellow trainers to share best practices.
- Support the standardization of training practices across your assigned programs.

What You'll Bring
- 2–4 years of experience in behavioral health, recovery supports, or related social services.
- Experience delivering training, coaching, or technical assistance using adult learning principles.
- Working knowledge of SSI/SSDI and other disability benefit processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear training materials.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple training engagements at once.
- Willingness to travel as needed to deliver in-person trainings.
- Lived experience navigating disability benefits or behavioral health systems — personally or through a family member — is valued and may substitute for some of the experience above.
