As a DTC Copywriter, you will support the eCommerce and Growth Marketing team by creating conversion-driven copy that supports customer acquisition, retention, and overall site performance. This role is responsible for developing effective copy across paid media, email and SMS, promotional campaigns, and website touchpoints, with a strong focus on performance and brand consistency. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Growth, and E-commerce partners to execute against campaign and business goals. The ideal candidate brings hands-on DTC experience, strong execution skills across digital channels, and familiarity with health and wellness or supplement brands within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Brand Story: Own Brand story narrative as it cascades across multiple channels and consumer touch points. Understand how the story needs to flex by audience, funnel, and/or deliverable.
Brand Voice and tone: Ensure consistency of voice and tone across at all customer touchpoints.
Performance Marketing Copy: Write engaging ads that boost conversions on social media, like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Also, optimize for Google Ads and display ads. Focus on driving customer acquisition and boosting ROI.
Email & Retention Marketing: Create engaging email campaigns. Include a welcome series, abandoned cart reminders, post-purchase messages, and loyalty program updates. This helps maximize customer lifetime value.
SMS Marketing: Write concise, action-oriented SMS campaigns that drive engagement and conversions
Promotional Campaigns: Craft compelling copy for seasonal promotions, product launches, flash sales, and limited-time offers across all marketing channels.
Website / Product Descriptions: Write persuasive product descriptions that highlight benefits, address customer pain points, and drive purchasing decisions.
Website / Landing Page Copy: Create optimized landing page copy that aligns with campaign objectives and maximizes conversion rates
A/B Testing: test copy variations and course-correct based on performance data
5 -8 years of eCommerce copywriting experience with demonstrable results driving performance/ROAS improvement
Strong background in acquisition and retention marketing, including email, marketing automation, and customer lifecycle campaigns
Experience with SMS marketing campaigns and best practices for mobile-first copy
A portfolio demonstrating successful promotional campaigns that drove significant revenue growth
Strong grasp of consumer psychology and persuasion techniques. Examples of messaging that resonates emotionally are preferred.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret analytics and adjust copy strategy accordingly
Experience with A/B testing methodologies and conversion rate optimization
Experience writing for subscription-based DTC business models with a focus on retention and LTV
Familiarity with SEO best practices for eCommerce and product content
Experience supporting UGC, influencer, and social proof–driven campaigns, including reviews and testimonials
Understanding of the full customer journey, from awareness through conversion, retention, and advocacy
Ability to develop consistent, integrated messaging across email, SMS, social, and web channels
Experience with personalization and segmentation, tailoring copy for different audiences and lifecycle stages
Knowledge of mobile-first copy considerations, including character limits and scannability
Comfort working in an agile, test-and-learn environment, producing and iterating copy quickly based on performance feedback
Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and marketing tools, such as Shopify, Klaviyo, Salesforce, and HubSpot
Experience in the health and wellness industry, particularly with dietary supplements, vitamins, or nutraceuticals
Working knowledge of FDA regulations and compliant language for health-related marketing claims
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative team culture
This is a fully remote position. BiOptimizers has a globally distributed team and supports flexible work arrangements across time zones.
With team members across many countries and time zone differences of up to 16 hours, we’ve established a standard collaboration window from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST.
This is not a required work schedule, but a shared time frame for meetings and team syncs. At BiOptimizers, we support flexibility — team members are encouraged to work the hours that best suit them, as long as they:
