Core skills: Product Marketing, Technical Marketing, GTM (Go-to-Market), Solutions Marketing, Product Enablement, Marketing Communications
At Bitmovin, we empower developers to build the future of video. As a global leader in video infrastructure, our solutions power streaming platforms like Netflix, BBC, and Hulu. We are seeking a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) who is a builder at heart. You won’t just talk about our APIs—you will break them, build with them, and show the developer community what is possible.
“We are constantly seeking out forward thinking individuals who want to shape the future of video… come and work with us!”
Stefan Lederer, CEO
At Bitmovin we value cognitive diversity and the huge part this plays in not only creating a global culture second to none, but in how this underpins our ability to create truly representative, Emmy award winning products. Diversity in all its forms is encouraged and celebrated at Bitmovin; everyone has a role to play in helping us shape the future of video.
The Role: Build, Document, Evangelize
This is a high-impact, hands-on role where "building" is the priority. As a TME, you are the technical bridge between Product Engineering and the Market. You will be responsible for the technical "truth" of our Go-To-Market execution, ensuring every demo, integration, and guide we ship is functionally robust and resonates with an engineering audience.
This is a hands-on role where you will regularly write code to build, extend, and maintain working demos and sample applications using Bitmovin’s APIs and SDKs.
Concrete Activities (What You Will Build):
- Build & Maintain Working Demos: Create and own high-quality demo applications, API integrations, and SDK-based prototypes (e.g., encoding pipelines, playback workflows, and cloud-based sample apps) that can be used by sales, customers, and developer audiences.
- Own Technical Assets: Evolve a set of long-lived technical assets (demos, sample apps, integrations, and code examples). You will maintain Bitmovin’s public-facing GitHub repositories and ensures code samples are always up-to-date.
- Craft Authentic Technical Content: Produce detailed technical assets including whitepapers, technical guides, demo scripts, video walkthroughs, and deep-dive blog posts that communicate product value through technical depth rather than marketing jargon.
- Enable Sales & Solutions: Develop "ready-to-deploy" technical sales enablement tools and competitive PoCs that empower customer-facing teams with authentic product expertise.
- Represent Bitmovin: Present live demos, lead technical webinars, and engage with developer communities (online and offline) to build technical awareness and credibility.
What can you bring
- Engineer/Developer Background: Experience in Solutions Engineering, Technical Marketing, Developer Advocacy, or Software Engineering. You must have a track record of personally building and shipping code.
- Multilingual in Code: You are comfortable working in common developer environments and languages—specifically JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, or C++.
- Modern Tooling: Proficient with Git, REST APIs, SDKs, and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Video Expertise: Deep interest in (or experience with) video streaming, cloud infrastructure, and developer workflows.
- Communication: Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, accurate narratives for both developers and technical decision-makers.
You don’t have experience with all the points above? Don’t worry, we will support you with learning, training, and coaching on the job.
