As Lead Technical Recruiter, Product & Engineering (China), you will own end-to-end hiring for China-based engineering and product roles, with a strong focus on senior and high-signal candidates.
This is a hands-on role with leadership responsibility. You will personally drive critical hires while setting standards for technical hiring quality, speed, and signal in China.
Success is measured by quality of hire, hiring velocity, and candidate signal, not volume.
Own the full recruitment lifecycle for China-based product and engineering roles, from intake through offer and onboarding support.
Source senior technical talent through China-native, relationship-driven channels (e.g. LinkedIn China, 脉脉, GitHub, referrals, technical communities, targeted outbound).
Partner closely with founders, engineering leads, and product leadership to clarify requirements and maintain a high hiring bar.
Screen candidates for technical depth, ownership mindset, execution strength, and learning ability.
Drive interview coordination and feedback loops with speed and clarity in a competitive market.
Maintain accurate hiring data and pipeline visibility.
Help shape A1’s China technical hiring strategy, including market mapping, talent benchmarking, and compensation signal.
Strong experience in full-cycle technical recruitment in China.
Proven track record hiring software engineers, ML engineers, product managers, or other technical roles.
Deep familiarity with China’s technical talent market and sourcing channels.
Strong intuition for technical profiles and how to assess real engineering capability.
Fluent Mandarin; strong working English required.
Comfortable working with ATS systems and hiring metrics.
High ownership, urgency, and ability to operate independently.
(Industry background is flexible. Experience recruiting for tech, AI, or product teams is strongly preferred.)
