Claims Management & Transport Damage Handling - Approx. 20-25 hours per week
- Manage and process logistics claims related to over-deliveries, shortages, incorrect deliveries, and transport damages.
- Coordinate the handling of transport damage cases and ensure timely notification and communication with logistics service providers and insurance companies.
- Perform structured root cause analyses in cooperation with internal departments, logistics service providers, and customers.
- Identify root causes and define appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Support the implementation, monitoring, and effectiveness review of quality improvement measures.
- Communicate directly and professionally with all relevant internal stakeholders and external business partners.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of transport quality and logistics processes.
- Develop and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPI-based performance monitoring.
- Analyze claims and quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, and potential areas for improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and support the implementation of partially automated workflows.
- Analyze existing processes and actively contribute to their standardization, optimization, and digitalization.
Logistics IT Support - Approx. 10-15 hours per week
- Support IT procurement and purchasing activities for logistics-related requirements, including software solutions, logistics optimization tools, hardware, and service hotline solutions.
- Coordinate requirements with internal stakeholders, IT departments, purchasing functions, and external service providers.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of suitable digital tools and IT solutions for logistics operations.
- Develop and optimize label designs for different logistics and operational requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of an automated software solution for label generation and printing.
- Translate operational requirements into functional concepts for digital and automated solutions.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual activities and improve process efficiency through digitalization and automation.
Qualifications
- Active or passive (under the age of 25), full-time student status
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style.
- Ability to understand complex logistics and IT-related processes and translate operational requirements into practical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in working with different internal and external stakeholders.
- Interest in working within an international, cross-functional, and technology-driven corporate environment.
- 25-30 working hours per week
- Long-term engagement (at least 1 year)
Language Skills
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, is required.
- German language skills are considered an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP systems.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS-Office Tools
- Experience with or strong interest in Microsoft Power BI, dashboard development, reporting, and data visualization.
- Strong affinity for IT, digitalization, and data processing systems.
- Interest in programming, process automation, and the design of IT solutions.
- Ability and willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with new software applications and data processing systems.
- General understanding of the interaction between operational logistics processes and supporting IT solutions is considered an advantage.
