Key Responsibilities
1. Requirement-Based Testing Leadership
- Lead end-to-end RBT activities for Software and System Requirements in V-Model.
- Analyze customer requirements and derive testable verification criteria.
- Ensure complete traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
2. Test Strategy & Planning
- Define project-level test strategy aligned with product risk, complexity, and release targets.
- Establish test architecture (HiL / SiL / automation) for scalable validation.
- Optimize test scope, prioritization, and coverage.
3. Test Design
- Apply advanced Test Design Techniques (boundary, equivalence, state-based, fault injection, etc.)
- Drive standardization in test specification and structure to enable automation and reuse
- Review and approve test designs to ensure high defect detection effectiveness.
4. Technical & Domain Expertise
- Contribute deep understanding in:
- Automotive systems & Functional Knowhow (e.g., braking systems: ESP, iBooster, etc.)
- Embedded systems and microcontroller architecture
- Support root cause analysis with system-level and software-level insights.
5. Problem Solving & Quality Leadership
- Lead defect analysis and cross-functional problem solving.
- Drive quality improvements and process optimization in V&V.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with Project Manager, system engineers, Test development teams, and software development teams.
- Translate stakeholders need efficient, measurable V&V strategies.
- Communicate test progress, risks, and quality status clearly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of computer Engineering/ Information Technology/ Electrical-Electronics/ Electronics-Telecommunication/ Mechatronics Engineering/ Automotive or related fields.
- 6–10+ years in Automotive V&V / Testing / Validation.
- Proven experience in Requirement-Based Testing (RBT) for Software & System level.
- Strong knowledge of HiL, SiL, Test automation frameworks and automotive testing tools (Eg. ECU-TEST (Tracetronic))
- Solid understanding of: Microcontrollers & Embedded Systems; Automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.).
- Strong experience in test design techniques and test specification creation.
- Strong in 1 of following programming language: C/C++/Python/Perl scripting language, API programming.
- Strong functional knowledge in automotive systems (Brake, ADAS, Powertrain, etc.).
- Ability to lead problem-solving activities independently.
- Strong analytical thinking and structured decision-making.
- Experience working with JOEM or global OEM projects is highly preferred.
- Good English communication skills & Effective communication across global teams (Japan/Vietnam/India).
- Ownership mindset with strong quality-driven attitude.
- Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Knowledge of ASPICE.
- ISTQB Advance.
- Ccontinuous verification and regression testing (CI/CT).
