We are seeking a motivated Project Manager with extensive experience in both traditional (PMI) and agile (SAFe) methodologies. This role involves overseeing projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with client needs, managing roadmaps, and fostering continuous improvement across teams.
Responsabilities:
PMO & Portfolio Management: Orchestrate multiple workstreams for cohesive project execution. Manage the IT project portfolio, prioritizing initiatives and epics based on strategic alignment and resource availability. Maintain and update the executive roadmap vision, consolidating information from different squads and work fronts.
Initiative & Epic Tracking: Monitor initiatives and epics, ensuring continuous updates on status, deadlines, dependencies, and deliverables. Conduct periodic status reports to key stakeholders and maintain visibility across all portfolio items.
Risk & Impact Management: Identify, register, and track risks and impacts of initiatives and epics, proposing mitigation plans in collaboration with responsible teams. Escalate relevant impediments and impacts to ensure leadership visibility and support when necessary.
Agile Leadership: Master agile rituals (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and promote consistent application of Agile principles. Lead by example in implementing best practices and guide teams on governance processes, rituals, and project management best practices.
Client & Stakeholder Management: Lead client interactions to ensure alignment with goals. Maintain clear progress reports. Collaborate with IT and Business teams to define project priorities, scope, and requirements. Prepare, review, and validate reporting materials for executive leadership, ensuring information consistency and adherence to defined standards.
Project Delivery: Ensure timely delivery of initiatives within budget constraints and compliance requirements. Support periodic review of project accounting and financial documents, contributing to budget control. Proactively identify and mitigate risks while removing impediments to maintain momentum.
Performance Management: Track and monitor key metrics (development, quality, productivity, business outcomes, application health). Update Jira and maintain dashboards for leadership and business reviews.
Resource Optimization & Coordination: Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners. Support and conduct handovers between squads and teams, ensuring alignment of scope, schedule, and responsibilities. Prioritize work to focus teams on highest business value and ensure efficient resource allocation.
Conflict Resolution & Facilitation: Facilitate conflict resolution between areas and squads, supporting alignment and continuity of deliveries. Maintain strong communication and partnerships with teams and stakeholders across all levels.
Team Development & Support: Mentor team members to develop their skills. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. Lead crisis response and mobilize teams for corrective actions.
Adaptability & Communication: Demonstrate flexibility in shifting priorities. Maintain clear and consistent communication with tactical and executive levels. Ensure information visibility and transparency across all stakeholders.
Requirements
Core Competencies:
- Proven experience in PMO, project management, or governance;
- Knowledge of Lean principles and agile methodologies;
- Proven experience implementing and facilitating Agile practices in team environments;
- Strong project management expertise coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations;
- Experience monitoring roadmaps, budget, indicators, risks, and dependencies;
- Organization, critical thinking, and attention to detail;
- Proven leadership and mentorship abilities with large teams;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to interact with tactical and executive levels;
- Technical proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and project management tools.
Professional Background:
- Having performed the role of PMO and/or LPM for 3+ years.
- Experience in digital product development and managing contracts/units with multiple workstreams;
- Background in consulting or medium to large-scale projects;
- Expertise in mobilizing teams for corrective and preventive actions;
- Solid understanding of data privacy and engineering guidelines.
Nice to Have
- Fluency in English;
- Proven experience in using and/or implementing SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology;
- Background in consulting or medium to large-scale projects;
- Proficiency with additional management tools (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar).
