This is a high-impact functional and strategic role. We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our financial technology initiatives supporting a major Payments Modernization Program. You will operate at the intersection of business operations, treasury, regulatory compliance, and software engineering, driving the transformation of the bank's core payment ecosystem (including Wire, RTP, FedNow, ACH, fraud prevention, and digital channels). Your primary mission is to serve as the key bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring needs are translated into clear, verifiable requirements that drive successful delivery.
Note on Location: This is a hybrid position based in Miami Lakes, FL. The role requires 3 days per week on-site in the office and 2 days working remotely.
What To Expect In This Role (Responsibilities)
Stakeholder Alignment & Engagement: Collaborate closely with Treasury Operations, Product Owners, Payment Operations, Compliance, Risk, and technology teams to align on priorities, scope, and expected outcomes.
Requirements Management: Gather, analyze, document, and validate functional, non-functional, integration, and reporting requirements. Translate business needs into well-defined epics, user stories, workflow diagrams, and acceptance criteria in Jira.
Process Engineering & Optimization: Map current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) payment workflows across Wires, RTP, FedNow, and ACH to identify automation opportunities, improve efficiency, and reduce operational risk.
Technical Collaboration: Partner with Solution Architects, Software Engineers, and Integration teams to align technical designs (APIs, middleware, core banking, fraud systems, and ERPs) with business requirements.
Agile Execution: Maintain backlog refinement, participate in daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring end-to-end requirement traceability from design through implementation.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Support SIT, UAT, parallel testing, and production readiness activities. Assist QA teams in defining test scenarios and collaborating on defect analysis and root-cause resolution.
Governance, Risk & Compliance: Ensure requirements incorporate necessary regulatory controls, auditability, segregation of duties, and security standards (BSA/AML, OFAC, and fraud prevention).
Requirements
Domain & Business Analysis Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field, with 5+ years of Business Analysis experience in banking, enterprise financial services, or fintech.
Payments Expertise: Hands-on experience supporting payment programs, treasury operations, transaction processing, or core banking ecosystem transformations.
Agile & Requirement Mastery: Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies, gathering requirements, writing detailed user stories, and maintaining backlogs in Jira/Confluence.
Process Modeling: Demonstrated proficiency in process mapping and workflow visualization using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms.
Communication & Facilitation: Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of facilitating workshops, review sessions, and bridging communication between non-technical business stakeholders and technical engineering teams.
On-Site Availability: Ability to commit to a hybrid schedule (3 days on-site / 2 days remote) in Miami Lakes, FL.

Familiarity with financial platform providers and tools such as Finzly, Fiserv, Actimize, or FircoSoft.
