Job Description:
Copia is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee all aspects of general ledger accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collaborating and leading a contract team responsible for journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes, while driving continuous improvement in accounting operations. This role has a strong preference for experience in NetSuite
The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Manager, Corporate Finance in an individual contributor capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger team and oversee daily accounting operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical accounting issues and special projects.
- Lead external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure compliance.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years professional experience in accounting, including experience in the renewable energy industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Experience in NetSuite, highly preferred and other accounting ERP platforms.
- CPA license preferred.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced proficiency in PowerPoint & Excel.
- Experience with project management software.
- Ability to work in the Salt Lake City, UT or Lake Oswego, OR office a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
