We’re hiring a Head of Socials to build a social presence people genuinely want to follow. This role exists to significantly raise the bar on how Deel shows up culturally, creatively, and strategically across social platforms.
This is not a traditional corporate social media role. It’s for someone who deeply understands internet culture, knows how to engineer viral moments, and can turn social into a meaningful brand and growth lever. You’ll own Deel’s global social strategy end to end, with the autonomy to build something distinctive and ambitious.
Own and evolve Deel’s global social media strategy across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X
Define and develop a clear, ownable brand voice that feels fun, insightful, aspirational, and platform-native
Create and ship high-velocity content, balancing one-off viral moments with a consistent always-on engine
Partner closely with a creative external agency and creators as peers, not vendors
Lead and develop a small in-house social team (2–3 people)
Use social listening and cultural signals to insert Deel into relevant conversations in real time
Balance creative risk with brand integrity, knowing when to push boundaries and when to pull back
Set clear success metrics and continuously iterate based on performance and audience response
Proven experience creating or leading viral, culturally relevant social content
Demonstrated ownership of outcomes, not just participation in campaigns
Strong understanding of how content and tone should vary by platform
Excellent editorial judgment and storytelling instincts
Experience working with creators, agencies, and cross-functional partners
Ability to clearly articulate why content worked, not just that it did
Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with high autonomy
Built or scaled a brand or audience that people actively follow and engage with
Worked in consumer, lifestyle, challenger brands, or high-growth tech environments
Created social content that travelled beyond its core audience or category
Strong writing instincts and intellectual curiosity
A bias toward action, experimentation, and shipping over perfect process
A point of view on what great social looks like—and the conviction to back it
