EdgeConneX is seeking a hands-on visionary Principal Data Center Electrical Engineer to define the electrical architecture for our next-generation global data center standard. In this high-impact role, you will research and evaluate current and emerging technologies, translate innovation into pragmatic, future‑proof designs, and set clear, scalable standards that balance build complexity, cost, and schedule. You’ll author and maintain design guidelines, templates, and best practices that our internal project engineering teams and external EPC partners will use worldwide. The ideal candidate brings deep technical rigor and international experience, yet embraces that there are multiple valid paths to a great solution—able to articulate trade-offs, align stakeholders, and drive consensus across diverse customer requirements. This Individual Contributor position can be based in either one of our offices in Virginia and Colorado or be based remotely in the U.S. or countries in EMEA where we already have infrastructure. It will require 25% travel globally as it will support all of our Design Engineering teams globally. For now, this position will report to our Head of Global Data Center Design Engineering based in the U.S.
