The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for various warehouse operations, including receiving carriers, handling incoming merchandise, inspecting products, organizing inventory, and preparing shipments.
In addition, the role involves certain administrative tasks such as data entry, inventory control, and communication with suppliers.

The Warehouse Clerk plays a key role in ensuring accuracy, organization, and quality across all warehouse operations and will also interact directly with customers.
You contribute directly to the customer experience by ensuring that:
- Received goods match purchase orders
- Products arrive in perfect condition
- Any discrepancies or damages are quickly identified and communicated to suppliers
- Inventory accuracy is maintained, preventing picking errors
- Customers are properly welcomed during order pickups
As all departments are closely connected, it is essential to work with precision, attention to detail, and a strong team mindset.
Main Responsibilities (in order of priority)
1. Receiving Merchandise
- Verify that product codes on boxes match delivery slips and internal pre-receiving documents
- Inspect all incoming goods and report any discrepancies or damages to suppliers
- Perform detailed inspections according to established checklists
- Accurately confirm and enter all information into the system
2. Inventory Control
- Perform weekly checks to ensure physical inventory matches system data
- Identify and correct discrepancies
3. Stock Management and Maintenance
- Place received merchandise in designated locations
- Update product locations and quantities in the system
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas (following 5S or health & safety standards)
- Perform routine inspections of handling equipment before use
4. Interaction with Customers and Carriers
- Welcome and assist customers picking up their orders in a courteous and professional manner
- Receive and support transporters during deliveries
5. Shipping Preparation and Dispatch
- Prepare orders accurately using packing lists
- Safely package and label products for shipment
- Process carrier delivery notes
Time Allocation (approximate)
- 50% Receiving merchandise
- 10% Inventory control
- 40% Stock management, customer interaction, and other warehouse tasks
Skills and Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and courteous
- Good physical condition; the role involves active work including lifting and handling products (toilets, bathtubs, shower doors, using equipment), and long periods of standing or moving
- Strong team spirit and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, agile, and patient
- Good listening and ability to follow instructions
- Quick learner, able to become autonomous after training
- Motivated and committed
- Adaptability: able to handle high-volume periods
- Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification (an asset; training available in-house)
Working Conditions
- Full-time, on-site position
- 40 hours per week (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
- Base salary: $45,000 per year
- Profit-sharing eligibility after the first full year
