What you’ll be doing
This role will drive the design and architecture for workplace productivity GenAI tools—ensuring the enterprise aligns ChatGPT Enterprise to validated use cases while balancing capability, cost, and measurable productivity impact. The Senior Solutions Architect will take ownership of use case review and capability mapping, maintaining a GenAI roadmap and producing solution recommendations for leadership and governance bodies. The role will also help translate governance requirements (acceptable use, risk controls, approval artifacts) into practical architecture and onboarding standards. A key differentiator: this role will actively incorporate the emerging custom GPT governance and scale model (intake/risk tier/change management/auditability) into architecture decisions so that experimentation can mature into controlled enterprise patterns. Design “from day one” with ChatGPT Enterprise GPTs (custom GPTs created in GPT Builder), including workspace controls for GPT sharing, third‑party GPT allow/block decisions, and GPT Actions domain restrictions where applicable.
Summary of Primary Responsibilities
- Review and assess GenAI use cases, align them to existing/planned tools, and maintain a roadmap of workplace productivity GenAI capabilities.
- Maintain a capability map of ChatGPT Enterprise features relevant to productivity programs, including GPT Builder/GPTs, controlled sharing, and enterprise oversight mechanisms (Compliance API).
- Define architecture and technical requirements for onboarding GenAI tools (assessment → POC → valuation → GA), including integration touchpoints with identity/security standards.
- Define identity + lifecycle requirements for ChatGPT Enterprise adoption such as SSO/SCIM, workspace RBAC roles, and provisioning standards for enterprise scale.
- Model cost vs. productivity value and recommend tool positioning to reduce overlap and prevent unnecessary tool sprawl.
- Partner with Risk/Legal/Compliance to compile required approvals, governance artifacts, and acceptable use statements for GenAI tools.
- Produce and communicate GenAI strategy to senior technology leadership; summarize use cases and submit artifacts to governance bodies.
- Design security controls and mitigations for GenAI solutions, including addressing audit findings and ensuring compliance with internal standards.
- Create reference patterns for higher‑risk use cases (e.g., sensitive data, regulated workflows) that specify:
- allowed data classes and redaction expectations,
- evidence requirements for audit readiness,
- review triggers for “material changes” to a GPT (instruction changes, knowledge updates, GPT Actions updates).
- Engage vendors and partners and translate roadmap shifts into enterprise architecture impacts.
- Work with program leadership to align architecture decisions to features available in ChatGPT Enterprise, including connectors/enterprise integrations where appropriate, and enterprise support expectations
- 7–12+ years in solutions/enterprise architecture, with demonstrated ownership of product onboarding and technical governance in a regulated environment.
- Practical experience with ChatGPT Enterprise and how it integrates into collaboration and productivity workflows.
- Comfortable shaping and documenting architecture: capability maps, target productivity outcomes, reference patterns, and GA readiness criteria.
- Working knowledge of enterprise identity patterns and adjacent cloud/container concepts as needed.
- Experience collaborating across Security/Risk/Legal/Compliance to translate policy intent into implementable technical requirements.
- Experience designing governance‑aware GPT patterns using GPT Builder plus sharing controls, editor controls, and version history.
- Familiarity with Compliance API data types and how they can be ingested into enterprise governance platforms.
