Position Summary
The Service & Operations Integration Manager leads integration efforts supporting mergers and acquisitions from due diligence through post-close implementation of acquired firms into the Service & Operations organization. This role partners closely with Service & Operations Leadership, Onboarding & Integration, Corporate Development, Client Service, Core Operations, Platform Operations, Advisory Leadership, Technology, Compliance, Human Resources, and other business partners to plan, coordinate, and execute successful integrations to the Focus Partners Wealth operating model.
The Integration Manager develops M&A integration plans for Service & Operations, manages integration execution, and implements consistent operating models and business processes to support a smooth transition for associates, advisors, and clients. A key focus of this role is coordinating onboarding and training efforts, knowledge transfer, and role readiness during the integration lifecycle. In partnership with Onboarding & Integration and Service & Operations leaders, the Integration Manager supports newly acquired teams through post-close stabilization before transitioning associate development and training to Client Service leadership and the Client Service Training Manager. This includes supporting associate learning and understanding of new workflows, systems, service expectations, and operating procedures.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Integration Manager serves as an extension of the Service & Operations Leadership Team, helping ensure integration decisions, operating models, and implementation activities remain aligned with organizational priorities and the Focus Partners Wealth Service & Operations model.
As this is a new established role, responsibilities will continue to evolve as the integration program matures and organizational priorities change. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and a continuous improvement mindset to help shape the future of Service & Operations integration.
Key Responsibilities
M&A Integration Leadership
• Lead Service & Operations integration activities for acquisitions from due diligence and planning through post-close implementation and stabilization.
• Partner with Corporate Development and Onboarding & Integration during acquisition planning to assess Service & Operations impacts, integration readiness, and implementation requirements.
• Partner with business leaders to assess current-state operating models, business processes, organizational structures, and service models.
• Develop integration plans that align acquired firms to the Focus Partners Wealth operating model.
• Serve as the primary point of coordination for Service & Operations throughout the integration process.
• Provide regular updates to Service & Operations leadership on integration progress, risks, decisions, and resource needs, ensuring timely escalation and informed decision-making.
Program & Project Management
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, timelines, risks, dependencies, and status reporting.
• Serve as an extension of Service & Operations Leadership Team representing leadership priorities, facilitating cross-functional alignment for M&A related activities, and ensuring integration activities remain aligned with S&O organization’s model and strategic priorities.
• Coordinate activities across Advisory Leadership, Onboarding & Integration (O&I), Corporate Development, Client Service, Core Operations, Platform Operations, Technology, Compliance, Human Resources, and other business partners.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues, and escalate risks or decisions to leadership.
• Ensure successful integration implementation, post-close stabilization, and transition to steady-state operations.
Operating Model & Process Integration
• Partner with S&O leaders and Advisory Leadership to drive change management, communication, and adoption strategies that successful implementation of new processes, roles, and operating models.
• Coordinate Service & Operations onboarding, operational readiness, and knowledge transfer activities for newly acquired associates throughout the integration lifecycle.
• Partner with Onboarding & Integration and Service & Operations leaders to deliver role specific process guidance, workflow support, and onboarding support through post-close stabilization.
• Transition ongoing associate development, continued education, and long-term training ownership to the Client Service Training manager as acquired firm moves into steady-state operations.
• Evaluate business processes and recommend opportunities to standardize and improve implementation.
• Document future-state procedures, business requirements, and operating processes.
• Support implementation of new workflows, service standards, and organizational changes resulting from acquisitions.
Integration Process Improvement
• Improve integration playbooks, templates, and project tools to support a consistent integration experience.
• Develop and monitor key integration metrics
• Capture lessons learned and create feedback mechanisms to evaluate integration success, identify trends, and recommend future enhancements.
• Support initiatives that improve the scalability and effectiveness of future acquisitions.
Qualifications
Required
• 5+ years of experience in wealth management, operations, project management, business integration, or related fields.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience documenting business processes, workflows, and procedures.
• Intellectual curiosity and the ability to quickly learn new business processes, ask thoughtful questions, and operate independently in ambiguous situations.
Preferred
• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions or business integrations.
• Knowledge of wealth management operations and client service.
• Experience using project management tools such as Asana or Smartsheet.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar workflow platforms.
This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $120,000-$150,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package
