Join Liquor Barn as a Senior Accountant where you will maintain a best-in-class accounting function core to Liquor Barn’s success. You will be a valuable member of the accounting team with daily responsibilities, assigned month-end close tasks and strengthening the infrastructure for a generation-defining brand. As part of the accounting team, you will report to the Retail Controller and partner with teams across the organization. This is a hybrid position reporting to our Louisville office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) during local business hours.
You Will
- Work directly under the Controller assisting them in daily, weekly and monthly tasks
- Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
- Prepare Monthly, Weekly and Daily reporting
- Take ownership of the month end close, including preparing journal entries and supporting documentation as required in a timely manner
- Prepare account reconciliations, flux explanations and ad hoc analysis
- Work with external auditors to ensure documentation, deliverables and financial reporting meets agreed deadlines and quality standards
- Contribute to the Company’s internal controls and assurance activities, including assisting with the preparation of internal controls documentation and remediation of internal controls gaps, as identified
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting needs
You Have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in an accounting role
- Experience with Sage Intacct - Preferred
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial analysis
- High proficiency in Excel (formulas, vlookups and pivot tables)
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, Hybrid team environment.
Compensation
- Gopuff pays employees based on market pricing and pay may vary depending on your location. The salary range below reflects what we’d reasonably expect to pay candidates. A candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, interview performance, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. Exceptions may be made for exceptional individuals. For additional information on this role’s compensation package, please reach out to the designated recruiter for this role.
- This role is eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus and participation in Gopuff’s equity incentive plan.
- Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $108,000
