The Role

Great Gray is looking to add a Senior IT Project Manager to our Business Transformation team. The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering technology-driven initiatives across the enterprise, ranging from infrastructure and architecture updates to system implementations, Corporate IT changes and the technology integrations into the Great Gray environment. While this role sits within Business Transformation to ensure adherence to project management best practices, common tooling, and enterprise-wide oversight, the primary driver and stakeholder group for this role will be the Technology team. The IT Project Manager provides a unique opportunity to serve as the connective tissue between technology execution and enterprise project governance.

Location

This position will work remotely from the Eastern or Central Time Zones; however, occasional travel may be required on a project basis (up to 15%).

Responsibilities 

• Lead and direct complex, cross-functional technology projects ensuring familiarity with scope, objectives and technical dependencies.
• Partner closely with the Technology team as the primary project driver while maintaining alignment with Business Transformation standards and governance practices
• Establish and document clear roles and responsibilities for project team members across technology and business functions.
• Develop and update project plans including tasks, milestones, responsibilities, dependencies, timeline, and status.
• Communicate project plans to affected parties to ensure a common understanding, set proper expectations, and align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage projects in Smartsheet, the Enterprise Project Management Software, ensuring consistent use of shared tools and templates across enterprise projects
• Facilitate project meetings and create & publish all project and meeting materials, including technology summaries accessible to non-technical audiences.
• Identify, capture and escalate any project issues, risks, actions, and blockers, including those with technical complexity or cross-functional impact.
• Monitor project work and execute change control where necessary.
• Manage project budget, including vendor and licensing costs, where applicable.
• Develop and execute change management plans to support technology adoption across impacted teams and business units
• Coordinate the integration of new technologies, platforms, systems into the Great Gray environment
• Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to executive management.
• Interact with employees at all levels of the organization as well as external technology vendors and partners involved in projects.
• Manage changes to project scope and schedule.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in in Information Technology, Computer Science, a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6-10 years of business or technology experience.
• Minimum 6 years of project management experience, with a focus on technology projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing a variety of IT project types, including infrastructure or architecture updates, system implementations, Corporate IT changes and technology or personnel integrations
• Experience working closely with or embedded within a Technology team as a primary stakeholder is required.
• Experience in the financial services industry or technology industry is preferred
• Experience working with or managing projects in Smartsheet is preferred.
• PMP and Agile certification a plus.
• Proficiency in Atlassian Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Familiarity with IT domains such as cloud platforms, cybersecurity, networking, and software development lifecycles.
• Ability to translate technical concepts and project details for non-technical stakeholders and executive audiences
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and gain consensus across all organizational levels and functional team types.
• In-depth knowledge of project management methodology, including waterfall, agile, and hybrid approaches
• Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building effective relationships within technology, business functions and 3rd party relationships.

Base Pay Range*

$125,000 - $150,000

*This base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

The pay range displayed above is the base pay compensation range that Great Gray expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting.  Individual compensation within this range depends on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, candidate’s prior education and relevant work experience and training as well as position location and local market demands.  Our pay-for-performance culture also includes participation in an annual incentive bonus plan for this position which is not included in the ‘Base Pay Range’ noted above.
