Grovecollaborative·about 14 hours ago
Grove Collaborative is a sustainability-focused consumer products company creating household and personal care essentials that are effective, beautifully designed, and healthier for people and the planet. We are a certified B Corp, plastic-neutral, and on a mission to transform the CPG industry for good.
Senior Benefits Specialist | Remote | Temporary, 12-week engagement | Reports to Director, People Operations
This is a 12-week temporary role, covering a leave for a key member of our distributed People Experience team. You'll own the day-to-day administration of Grove's U.S. benefits programs, leave of absence administration, and select PX initiatives that support employees across their lifecycle, starting from day one. There's no slow runway here. We need someone who can ramp fast and become a steady, capable hand right away.
As an extension of the PX team, you'll be a trusted resource for employees, partnering with our brokers, carriers, leave administrators, and internal teams to keep benefits accurate, compliant, and handled with real care. The honest version: this is an all-hands-on-deck environment. You'll wear multiple hats, move quickly, and occasionally get something wrong. What matters is that you own it, fix it, and keep moving. We'd rather have someone hungry and self-driven than someone waiting for perfect conditions.
You're organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the judgment to balance multiple priorities without dropping any of them. You're self-driven enough to hit the ground running with minimal ramp time, and comfortable moving fast, comfortable making the occasional mistake, and quick to own it rather than hide it. You have real experience administering employee benefits, with working knowledge of California leave laws, and you're based in a state where Grove currently runs payroll.
If you take real pride in getting the details right, and you're energized rather than rattled by a fast-moving, dynamic team, this is your kind of twelve weeks.
This 12 week full-time, exempt position is remote for candidates based in the following states: California, Maine, Pennsylvania, Nevada, North Carolina, Texas, Colorado, Washington, Illinois, New York, Missouri, and Massachusetts.
The salary range for the role is $100,000-120,000. Our compensation bands are adjusted based on market-specific cost of living data, meaning that the top of our salary range is reserved for the most experienced candidates in the highest cost of living areas across the country. We aim to be competitive and fair.
This role is not eligible for benefits or overtime.
