The Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society seeks a full-time Senior Research Coordinator in Cambridge, MA to work alongside our Faculty Director, Professor Jonathan Zittrain, George Bemis Professor of International Law at Harvard Law School, Director of the Harvard Law School Library, and Professor at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
A motivated individual in this role will sharpen and focus a research agenda and make valuable contributions in the field of cyberlaw, internet governance, and beyond, while working alongside leaders in academia, industry, and government. The Senior Research Coordinator in this position will work very closely on a day-to-day basis with Professor Zittrain and his team, assisting in a variety of research areas, e.g. artificial intelligence, intermediary liability, and disinformation, both directly and through coordinating the work of others. With mentorship and guidance from Professor Zittrain and other contributors from across the Berkman Klein Center including senior leadership, the Senior Research Coordinator will be expected to take an important role in shepherding the design and execution of research and programming. This role is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are eager to deepen their research skills and build experience at the intersection of law, technology, and policy. As a Senior Research Coordinator, you will:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, including 3 or more years of experience in research, administration, or related field. Coursework toward a graduate degree may count toward experience.

Appointment End Date: As with all Berkman Klein Center positions, this is a term appointment currently expected to extend to June 30, 2027 with potential for renewal, subject to departmental funding and need.
Standard Hours/Schedule: 35 hours per week; Full-time, M-F.

Work Format Details
This position has been determined by school or unit leaders that some of the duties and responsibilities can be effectively performed at a non-Harvard location. The work schedule and location will be set by the department at its discretion and based upon operational needs. When not working at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location, employees in hybrid positions must work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
