Help Us Build Something Meaningful 💜🎒
Backpack Health is expanding its clinical services and is seeking an experienced Lead Clinical Psychologist to launch and lead our clinical psychology program.
This is a unique opportunity for a psychologist who wants to do more than provide clinical care—you’ll have the opportunity to build a program from the ground up, beginning with comprehensive psychological evaluations and growing into a broader leadership and supervision role.
You’ll provide high-quality assessments for children, adolescents, and families, including evaluations for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other developmental, behavioral, emotional, and cognitive concerns. As the program grows, you’ll help establish clinical standards, supervise psychology staff, and shape a sustainable and scalable psychology service line.

- Evaluate ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other clinically appropriate referral questions.
- Select, administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological and diagnostic assessments.
- Conduct clinical interviews and review records and collateral information from caregivers, schools, providers, and other authorized parties.
- Prepare clear, timely, and clinically sound reports with diagnostic impressions and individualized recommendations.
- Provide thoughtful feedback to clients and caregivers and support understanding of evaluation results.

- Identify opportunities to improve quality, access, efficiency, and financial sustainability.
👥 Supervision & Team Development
- Help identify, recruit, onboard, and develop a qualified Psychological Associate.
- Provide clinical supervision consistent with applicable state laws, licensing requirements, ethical standards, and Backpack Health policies.
- Review delegated assessment activities, scoring, interpretation, documentation, and recommendations.
- Ensure services remain within each clinician’s training, competence, and permitted scope of practice.
- As the program expands, transition into broader supervision and leadership responsibilities.
✅ Quality, Compliance & Collaboration
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, state regulations, professional ethics, documentation requirements, and test-security standards.
- Collaborate with therapists, psychiatric providers, care coordinators, schools, and other members of the care team.
- Participate in quality assurance, clinical audits, utilization review, and corrective-action activities.
- Identify and escalate clinical, operational, regulatory, reimbursement, or staffing risks.

- Lead Clinical Psychologist: 60% of revenue actually reimbursed for eligible evaluations.
- Backpack Health: 40% retained to support billing, scheduling, credentialing, administrative, and operational expenses.
