We’re hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Treatments Engineering group — the team that builds the apps, platforms, and internal systems that enable the rapid, safe launch of new treatments across Hims & Hers’ expanding portfolio.
Treatments Engineering sits at the center of bringing new care experiences to life: partnering with clinical, product, pharmacy, and operations teams to launch new treatment pathways with high quality, strong safety guardrails, and scalable operational readiness.
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will translate product and clinical direction into an executable technical plan for Treatments Engineering. You will lead one or more teams (including managers), drive predictable delivery across multi-quarter programs, and raise the bar on reliability, privacy, and operational rigor for treatment launch systems.
Lead one or more teams enabling treatment launches: Manage and grow teams (including subordinate managers) building the systems and workflows that power the rapid, safe launch of new treatments.
Turn strategy into executable plans: Translate clinical and product direction into operational objectives, processes, and plans that enable repeatable, scalable launches.
Execute and improve delivery: Drive planning, prioritization, and dependency management across your teams; surface risks early; keep execution on track across multi-quarter launch programs.
Raise the bar on quality and operational rigor: Improve reliability, testing, observability, and incident response; run effective postmortems; reduce recurring issues and operational toil.
Partner deeply with stakeholders: Work closely with Clinical, Product, Pharmacy & Fulfillment, Operations, Quality, and Analytics to clarify requirements, reconcile tradeoffs, and deliver measurable outcomes.
Drive strategic change inside your org: Identify gaps and opportunities and lead change initiatives that improve launch readiness, operational effectiveness, and team health.
Embed privacy, security, and safety into delivery: Partner with Security/Legal/Regulatory/Quality to operationalize controls and reduce risk in treatment and sensitive systems.
Develop people and leaders: Coach managers and senior ICs, run performance management, create growth plans, and build a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Engineering experience with people leadership: Typically 10+ years in software engineering, including significant experience leading teams and delivering complex initiatives.
Experience managing managers (or scaling teams): Demonstrated ability to oversee subordinate managers and build healthy, high-performing teams.
Strong execution and operational judgment: Comfortable establishing operating rhythms, defining goals, tracking progress, and ensuring delivery against commitments.
Ability to operationalize strategy: Experience setting operational objectives/processes and aligning teams to deliver customer outcomes.
Cross-functional influence: Ability to work with stakeholders across disciplines and levels, persuading in complex situations while maintaining trust.
Technical fluency: Strong system design instincts; can guide technical direction with Staff/Principal partners without needing to be the primary implementer.
Quality, privacy, and safety mindset: Track record partnering with Security/Compliance/Quality stakeholders to reduce risk in sensitive or regulated environments.
Preferred: Regulated product experience, with a track record delivering healthcare or other systems where patient safety, privacy, and compliance were critical.
Like owning a critical domain end-to-end—balancing launch velocity with patient safety, quality, and privacy.
Build structure in ambiguity and turn clinical and operational needs into clear plans teams can execute.
Enjoy partnering deeply with clinical leaders and can translate between clinical context and engineering decisions.
Raise the bar on reliability, observability, and engineering practices while keeping teams moving.
Invest in people—coaching managers and ICs, giving candid feedback, and growing leaders.
Communicate clearly and early about risks and tradeoffs, and take ownership for outcomes.
Stay curious and resilient in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment.
