This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Executive, SME & Growth based in the United States.
The Account Executive will play a key role in expanding a global financial technology platform across the U.S. SME market.
You’ll own the full B2B sales cycle, from prospecting and pipeline generation through negotiation, closing, and initial customer ramp.
The role focuses on helping growing businesses solve complex financial and cross-border challenges through tailored technology solutions.
You’ll develop deep expertise across payments, billing, spend management, and related financial infrastructure to communicate compelling business value.
Working with customers across ecommerce, SaaS, professional services, and other technology-enabled sectors, you’ll build trusted consultative relationships.
You’ll also collaborate with internal teams and external technology partners while helping improve sales processes and expand into new verticals.
This is a fully remote opportunity for a high-performing, entrepreneurial sales professional who thrives in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment.
Accountabilities
- Own the complete sales cycle from prospecting and outbound engagement through discovery, negotiation, closing, and early customer ramp.
- Consistently generate pipeline through strategic prospecting and outbound sales activities within the U.S. SME market.
- Exceed revenue and sales targets through effective positioning of a broad financial technology product portfolio.
- Develop strong product expertise across areas such as payment acceptance, cross-border payments, billing, and spend management.
- Engage customers across ecommerce, SaaS, subscription businesses, technology, professional services, and other technology-enabled sectors.
- Conduct technical and commercial consultations to understand customer needs, identify opportunities, and recommend tailored solutions.
- Translate complex financial technology capabilities into clear, compelling business value for SME and growth customers.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, strategy, and other internal stakeholders to negotiate and execute commercial agreements and partnerships.
- Support smooth onboarding and early customer success by coordinating internal resources and maintaining alignment throughout the transition.
- Represent the business at relevant industry events and engage with complementary technology partners.
- Contribute to improving sales processes, operational efficiency, scalability, and the overall sales motion.
- Help develop new vertical strategies and support market expansion initiatives.
- Document successful approaches, share best practices, and contribute to a culture of high performance and collaboration.
- Support new product launches, vertical plays, and strategic growth initiatives as needed.
- At least 2 years of full-cycle B2B technology sales experience, with demonstrated success selling to small and medium-sized businesses.
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets in a technical, consultative, or solution-based selling environment.
- Experience selling into one or more relevant sectors, such as ecommerce, SaaS/subscription businesses, spend management, finance, technology-enabled services, or professional services.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through consistent outbound prospecting.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and sales enablement tools.
- Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience or strong familiarity with fintech, payments, foreign exchange, or financial infrastructure is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by SMEs and growth businesses operating or expanding internationally.
- Customer-focused and consultative approach, with the ability to uncover needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Strategic mindset and confidence engaging in high-level commercial, partnership, and business discussions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a resourceful, “figure it out” approach.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and maintain high performance in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and driven by measurable KPIs and revenue outcomes.
- Experience contributing to new product launches, new industry verticals, or market expansion initiatives is advantageous.
- Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to work remotely within the Eastern Time Zone, excluding the New York City metropolitan area.
- Estimated OTE of $146,000–$182,000 annually.
