As an Account Manager, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality service to commercial insurance clients.
You will build trusted relationships, understand client needs, and develop tailored service strategies that support their business objectives.
The role combines client management, insurance expertise, coverage analysis, marketing, negotiation, and renewal execution.
You will manage proposals and renewals while ensuring policies, applications, and client information remain accurate and up to date.
Working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, you will collaborate with internal teams and insurance partners to deliver effective solutions.
Your attention to detail and ability to interpret complex coverage documents will directly contribute to client satisfaction and retention.

Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with commercial insurance clients by understanding their needs and delivering responsive, customized service.
- Create and implement service plans that support client objectives and ensure consistent delivery throughout the insurance lifecycle.
- Manage the full account service process, including coverage discussions, applications, proposals, renewals, and client communications.
- Review and interpret complex Property & Casualty insurance policies, applications, proposals, and related documentation to identify coverage requirements and ensure accuracy.
- Prepare, review, and present renewal proposals to clients through written communications, virtual or in-person meetings, and other appropriate channels.
- Coordinate and manage the full insurance marketing process, working with carriers and other partners to obtain competitive coverage solutions.
- Negotiate coverage terms and contracts while balancing client requirements, market conditions, and business objectives.
- Maintain accurate and complete client records within agency management and other business systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues and insurance partners to provide a seamless, high-quality client experience.
- Identify and resolve service issues proactively, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-energy environment.
- Support client meetings and travel as needed to strengthen relationships and address account needs.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in commercial Property & Casualty insurance within an agency or related environment, preferably in an Account Manager or equivalent role.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance concepts, coverage structures, policy documentation, applications, proposals, and renewal processes.
- Demonstrated experience managing the full insurance marketing process and negotiating contracts or coverage terms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain insurance concepts clearly and effectively to clients.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing policies, applications, proposals, and client information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and agency management systems.
- Experience with Applied Epic is a plus.
- A Property & Casualty license is preferred, or the ability to obtain one after hire.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional insurance designations such as CPCU, CLCS, ARM, or CISR are a plus.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative, fast-paced, high-volume team environment.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings when required.
