Accountabilities:
The ADAS Customer Support Technician serves as a technical resource for remote automotive services, helping repair teams complete advanced vehicle procedures accurately and efficiently. This position requires strong communication skills, technical curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple customer interactions while maintaining high service standards.
- Perform remote vehicle scanning, programming, and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) calibrations through telephone and online support channels.
- Guide collision repair professionals through technical procedures to ensure successful vehicle calibration and safety compliance.
- Access manufacturer service information and OEM software tools to complete required procedures accurately.
- Document completed work, maintain accurate service records, and generate related invoices.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions during remote support sessions.
- Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding service status, technical requirements, and next steps.
- Collaborate with technical support colleagues and team leaders to share best practices, improve processes, and support ongoing learning.
- Participate in training opportunities to expand technical knowledge and career development.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality, and operational excellence.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a technical background, strong customer service abilities, and the ability to quickly learn complex automotive systems and procedures. Success in this role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and confidence working with customers in a remote technical environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of experience working in a technical field, technical support environment, or similar customer-facing role.
- Automotive experience, automotive education, or knowledge of vehicle repair processes is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft or Google productivity tools.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply OEM service information and technical procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong customer service mindset and commitment to delivering a positive support experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate with distributed teams.
- Must be able to communicate clearly by telephone, including in environments where multiple conversations may occur.
