This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Advanced Systems Engr based in India.
This role combines advanced systems expertise with project leadership, commercial execution, and customer engagement across complex industrial initiatives.
You will drive projects from planning and resource allocation through execution, quality assurance, financial management, and closure.
The position has a strong customer- and sales-facing component, helping translate technical solutions into business opportunities across multiple verticals.
You’ll collaborate with sales teams, channel partners, system integrators, OEMs, EPCs, consultants, and major customers.
Success will depend on your ability to manage risks, improve project margins, control resources, and deliver against revenue and customer-experience objectives.
The role also provides an opportunity to influence product specifications, regulatory approvals, customer acceptance, and application-driven growth.
Regular regional travel is expected, making this a dynamic opportunity for an experienced professional comfortable operating across technical and commercial environments.
Accountabilities
- Develop detailed project plans covering objectives, scope, resources, timelines, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
- Lead project teams and promote effective collaboration, communication, accountability, and execution.
- Allocate personnel, equipment, materials, and financial resources efficiently while maintaining control over project costs.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers, stakeholders, sales teams, partners, and other project participants, providing regular progress updates and addressing concerns.
- Identify project risks, assess potential impacts, and implement mitigation strategies to protect delivery, quality, and commercial outcomes.
- Monitor project performance through relevant KPIs and provide accurate status and financial reporting.
- Ensure project deliverables meet established technical, quality, commercial, and customer requirements.
- Resolve technical, operational, resource, and stakeholder challenges quickly to keep projects on track.
- Drive sales for breakthrough and core growth initiatives while supporting demand-generation activities.
- Develop and strengthen customer specifications, regulatory approvals, and approved-vendor-list acceptance.
- Support application-led OEM development across infrastructure, food and beverage, power, heat treatment, packaging, and other industrial markets.
- Identify gaps in market or customer coverage and develop strategies to strengthen solution adoption and acceptance.
- Participate in Mutual Action Planning discussions with channel partners and system integrators.
- Attend pre-bid and post-bid technical meetings and advocate for required technical and commercial outcomes.
- Improve project margins by approximately 2%–5% from booking while maintaining appropriate resource and budget controls.
- Ensure revenue recognition aligns with the project schedule and agreed delivery milestones.
- Monitor customer feedback and take actions to maintain or improve the overall customer experience.
- Conduct project closure activities, including final acceptance, documentation, lessons learned, and team debriefing.
- 8–10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 4 years working with field instrumentation products from a leading industrial technology provider or its competitors.
- Strong business experience across multiple vertical markets, particularly field-product industries and industrial applications.
- Established network and customer relationships within the instrumentation ecosystem, including large enterprises, OEMs, EPCs, consultants, and other key stakeholders.
- Experience supporting sales campaigns, commercial programs, or product-focused initiatives within defined markets.
- Strong understanding of technical portfolios, competitive offerings, customer applications, and industry requirements.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical value propositions in a commercially relevant manner.
- Proven presentation and stakeholder-management skills, with confidence engaging technical and executive audiences.
- Experience with project planning, resource management, budgeting, risk management, quality assurance, and performance reporting.
- Strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to motivate teams, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and drive accountability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, decision-making, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt effectively to changing project conditions and unforeseen challenges.
- Knowledge of commercial terms, contract terms, customer business drivers, and enterprise project requirements.
- Willingness to travel internationally, including approximately 5 days per month to Southeast Asian countries as required.
- Ability to travel moderately, with approximately 1–2 days per month referenced for standard business activities.
