This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Air Operations Center Engineer - REMOTE. In this critical role, the engineer will provide specialized support to enhance the effectiveness of the C3C / Kessel Run Division within the USAF C3BM Directorate. The position will involve collaborating closely with the program manager to optimize operational processes and logistical actions vital for mission success. The engineer will play an essential part in maintaining key documentation and ensuring that program support is delivered precisely when and where it's needed. With a focus on user experience, this role will also support usability testing for advanced software applications.
Accountabilities
- Identify, collect, synthesize, organize, and manage organizational knowledge in support of portfolios and products.
- Accumulate and leverage knowledge about business activities on behalf of stakeholders.
- Build and maintain a knowledge base through wiki sites for Operations Command-and Control.
- Draft responses and facilitate reporting processes based on various inquiries.
- Assist in documenting and testing operational processes for integration and analysis.
- Evaluate systems through extensive validation and performance criteria development.
- Conduct in-depth program reviews and recommend improvements to achieve specified performance.
- Provide in-depth engineering support for risk management and compliance with AF SEAM processes.
- Conduct formal trade studies analyzing performance, cost effectiveness, and maintainability.
- Conduct technical recommendations including reviews, audits, and documentation of findings.
- Perform usability testing for KRADOS weapon system applications.
- Support stakeholder management and communication as a liaison to Air Force Operations Centers.
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen.
- Top Secret level clearance required.
- MS/MA degree preferred.
- 10+ years of related experience.
- Extensive knowledge of defense acquisition management processes.
- Familiarity with agency program planning, funding, and management systems.
- Four or more years in the DoD as a C2 weapon system operator or engineer.
