This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Assistant Manager, Sales and Marketing. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive new business opportunities while managing and maximizing profits for existing accounts. The position demands a proactive approach in coordinating with both local and international clients, while ensuring the seamless operation of export procedures. You will support the sales and marketing team, develop key relationships, and contribute to achieving targeted budgets. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of our partner's sales strategies in a dynamic environment.
Accountabilities
- New account acquisitions are both local and international.
- Negotiating competitive rates with full container loads/less container loads, and transport service providers and carriers.
- Managing and maximizing the profits of individual and assigned accounts.
- Coordinating with overseas agents and ensuring smooth operation of export procedures.
- Developing and managing relationships with key customer accounts and carriers.
- Coordinating with shippers and recovering outstanding payments within agreed credit terms.
- Preparing and conducting sales and marketing presentations and proposals.
- Handling Air freight shipments, freight rate negotiations, and monitoring operations.
- Resolving contractual and commercial disputes.
- Supporting the sales and marketing team.
- Achieving and exceeding individual set budgets.
- Monitoring monthly checklists of the department.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree related to Transport or Logistics & Supply Chain Management with 5+ years of experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
- Experience in a business development or sales position with an existing customer base.
- Good presentation and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of success in business development or a sales role within the freight forwarding industry.
- Knowledge in Sales & Marketing, Sea freight, Air freight Operations, and Export Documentation.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
