This role is a senior technical leadership position responsible for defining and maintaining enterprise analysis data standards and programming best practices. The Associate Director will lead strategy, design, and implementation of analysis data (ADaM) standards, ensuring global adoption of scalable solutions. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic oversight, mentoring team members, and driving alignment across multiple functions. You will influence cross-functional initiatives, contribute to governance, and stay ahead of industry trends to advance programming innovation. Accountabilities:
- Own and manage enterprise programming standards capabilities, including roadmap, architecture, and global rollout
- Lead the development, lifecycle management, and implementation guidance of ADaM standards and supporting technology components
- Drive execution of project-based initiatives, ensuring alignment with business needs, external requirements, and industry best practices
- Collaborate with leadership and governance forums to set priorities, pilot initiatives, and monitor adoption of programming standards
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to subject matter experts, resolving complex programming challenges
- Represent programming in cross-functional governance, maintaining alignment with Biostatistics, Data Management, IT, and QA teams
- Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11) and audit readiness for clinical programs and technology platforms
Requirements:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biotech programming
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, or a related field
- Strong SAS programming skills with expertise in CDISC ADaM standards and efficient coding practices
- Experience leading development of dynamic, reusable code and metadata-driven automation frameworks
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) for standard code development, maintenance, and validation
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Active participation in industry organizations (e.g., CDISC, PHUSE) is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills
