This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Associate – Legal Operations in India.
This role is central to enabling a high-performing legal function by ensuring smooth, structured, and efficient execution of day-to-day legal and compliance operations.
You will support a wide range of legal workflows including contracts, compliance requests, corporate records, and intake management processes.
The position plays an important role in improving consistency, responsiveness, and operational discipline across the legal team’s activities.
You will work closely with legal leadership and cross-functional teams such as Finance, HR, Talent Acquisition, and business stakeholders.

This is a high-impact operational role that directly supports scalable legal infrastructure and business enablement.
You will also contribute to process improvements that strengthen efficiency and service quality across the legal function.
Accountabilities:
- Coordinate legal intake, routing, and tracking processes to ensure timely handling of requests and visibility across ongoing legal matters.
- Support contract lifecycle activities including intake, template selection, version control, signature tracking, document management, and reporting.
- Assist in conflict checks, compliance workflows, and documentation by collecting information and coordinating across internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain legal templates, playbooks, trackers, and standard operating procedures in collaboration with legal counsel.
- Support compliance and regulatory processes such as KYC, due diligence, entity management, licensing, and vendor/client requirements.
- Manage corporate records, legal entity data, and structured repositories for key legal and compliance documentation.
- Assist with litigation and claims support, including legal holds, document collection, subpoena coordination, and insurance-related administration.
- Partner with Finance, HR, and Talent Acquisition on contract, payment, employment, and onboarding-related legal documentation workflows.
- Track outside counsel matters, invoices, budgets, and reporting activities as required.
- Contribute to process optimization by identifying inefficiencies and supporting improvements in legal operations systems and tools.
- Prepare summaries, reports, and status updates for legal leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; additional certifications in law, paralegal studies, or compliance are preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in legal operations, paralegal support, contract administration, compliance, or related legal support roles.
- Prior experience working with in-house legal teams, law firms, consulting firms, or professional services organizations is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management, legal intake systems, compliance tracking, and document management tools.
- Exposure to compliance and legal processes such as KYC, vendor due diligence, licensing, entity management, or corporate governance.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and organizational discipline.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, handle confidential information, and operate with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional and global teams in a fast-paced environment.
