This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Principal Consultant, Salesforce Business Analyst based in India.
This is a senior Salesforce Business Analyst opportunity for an experienced professional who can bridge business needs, technology teams, and scalable Salesforce solutions. You will lead discovery, requirements gathering, and design workshops with business and technical stakeholders. The role combines strategic analysis with hands-on ownership of requirements, documentation, scope, and delivery. You will help shape configurable Salesforce solutions across workflows, reporting, data, custom objects, and business processes. Working in an Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with design, development, QA, and project teams throughout the delivery lifecycle. The position offers significant influence over solution quality, stakeholder alignment, and successful Salesforce project outcomes.
Accountabilities:
- Lead Salesforce business analysis, discovery, and requirements-gathering initiatives across business and technology teams.
- Independently facilitate Discovery and Design Workshops to understand business processes, pain points, requirements, and desired outcomes.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and configurable Salesforce solutions, including workflows, reports, custom objects, validation rules, and business processes.
- Manage Salesforce projects across requirements gathering, planning, execution, scope management, stakeholder coordination, and delivery.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive solution documentation, including process flows, data models, business requirements, and technical specifications.
- Partner with design, development, QA, and technical teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into effective solutions.
- Establish and maintain requirements management strategies covering elicitation, documentation, review, approval, prioritization, and change management.
- Facilitate backlog grooming, requirements refinement, prioritization, and stakeholder approval activities within Agile delivery environments.
- Monitor project scope against Statements of Work (SOWs), identify scope deviations, and support appropriate change control processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve complex business and process issues, applying root cause analysis and structured problem-solving where required.
- Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Maintain clear and effective stakeholder communication throughout the Salesforce project lifecycle.
- Ensure solutions address critical business operations, process requirements, and user needs while maintaining high-quality documentation for implementation, testing, deployment, and future enhancements.
Requirements:
- 9+ years of professional experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst, with strong hands-on expertise in business analysis, requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design, and stakeholder management.
- Proven ability to independently lead Discovery and Design Workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong experience translating complex business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions and configurable functionality.
- Demonstrated experience managing Salesforce projects end-to-end, from requirements and planning through execution, delivery, and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce solution documentation, including process flows, data models, requirements specifications, and technical documentation.
- Experience developing and maintaining structured requirements management strategies, including elicitation, documentation, review, approval, and change processes.
- Strong understanding of backlog grooming, requirements prioritization, refinement, attributes, review, and approval practices.
- Experience monitoring project scope against SOWs and supporting change control when requirements or delivery expectations evolve.
- Strong experience working within Agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, project management, stakeholder management, collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with JIRA or equivalent Agile project management tools is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and structured problem-solving is a plus.
