This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an AWS Mid Market Sales Engineer (Manager) - Global Mid Market in India.
This role is a client-facing technical leadership position focused on driving cloud transformation journeys for mid-market enterprises using AWS. You will act as a trusted advisor between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex requirements into scalable, secure, and high-value cloud architectures. The position blends solution engineering, pre-sales consulting, and strategic advisory responsibilities across the full sales lifecycle. You will lead technical discovery sessions, design AWS-based solutions, and demonstrate the “art of the possible” through prototypes and proof of concepts. Working closely with sales and delivery teams, you will help shape proposals, influence decision-making, and ensure seamless transition from sales to implementation. The role requires strong communication skills, architectural depth, and the ability to engage confidently with both technical and executive audiences. Accountabilities:
- Lead technical discovery sessions to understand client business needs, technical environments, and transformation objectives.
- Architect and design scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS solutions aligned with business outcomes and ROI targets.
- Act as the technical authority during sales cycles, providing guidance on feasibility, risks, and architectural best practices.
- Deliver technical workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts showcasing AWS capabilities and solution value.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop proposals, estimates, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Support seamless transition from sales to delivery by ensuring alignment between proposed architecture and implementation approach.
- Contribute to reusable solution frameworks, reference architectures, and cloud best practices.
- Engage with stakeholders across business and technical functions to articulate solution value effectively.
Requirements:
- 5–9 years of experience in client-facing technology roles such as Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or Technology Consultant.
- At least 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions on AWS.
- Strong expertise in AWS architecture, cloud migration, and modernization programs.
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable and secure cloud solutions.
- Exposure to Data & AI, AI/ML, GenAI, or cloud security solutions is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in leading technical discovery sessions, solution design, and proof-of-concepts.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.
- Experience supporting pre-sales activities including proposals, estimates, and SOW development.
- Understanding of cloud operating models, governance, and engineering best practices is a plus.
- AWS certifications (Professional or Specialty) are an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
