This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a BA - Healthcare (Process Transformation & Automation) based in India.
This is a high-impact Business Analyst role focused on transforming healthcare operations through process intelligence, automation, and data-driven improvement.
You will analyze complex healthcare workflows across claims, prior authorization, denials, and revenue cycle management.
Working closely with business stakeholders, healthcare clients, and technology teams, you will uncover inefficiencies and identify opportunities for meaningful automation.
You will combine process mining, task mining, business analysis, and process re-engineering to turn operational challenges into scalable solutions.
The role also involves building business cases, quantifying ROI, and supporting automation initiatives from discovery through implementation.
Your work will directly contribute to reducing manual effort and processing times while improving quality, visibility, and operational governance.

Accountabilities:
- Analyze and document healthcare workflows across claims adjudication, prior authorization, denial management, revenue cycle management, and related operational processes.
- Partner with healthcare clients and business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand pain points, assess current-state processes, and define transformation opportunities.
- Create detailed process maps, data-flow diagrams, workflow documentation, and other process artifacts using insights from process and task mining.
- Analyze process mining and task mining data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, repetitive manual activities, rework, and opportunities for automation.
- Use task mining to understand user interaction patterns and accelerate process discovery, documentation, and optimization.
- Quantify automation opportunities, develop ROI calculations, and build compelling business cases and value propositions for transformation initiatives.
- Drive process standardization, re-engineering, and optimization across claims intake, eligibility, validation, adjudication, denials, appeals, and related workflows.
- Collaborate with RPA developers and technology teams to translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Support automation implementation activities, including testing, UAT, change management, deployment, and post-implementation or hypercare support.
- Facilitate workshops and communicate process insights, recommendations, business cases, and transformation strategies to business and technology stakeholders.
- Define and track relevant KPIs to demonstrate improvements in processing time, manual effort, denial and rework rates, operational efficiency, and overall business value.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen process visibility, governance, and continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare claims operations, business analysis, business consulting, process transformation, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare claims lifecycle, payer-provider interactions, and revenue cycle management.
- Hands-on knowledge of claims processes, including EDI 837/835, eligibility, prior authorization, claims adjudication, denials, and appeals.
- Practical experience with process mining and task mining tools such as UiPath, Celonis, or equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of RPA concepts and automation platforms, with UiPath experience preferred.
- Strong business analysis capabilities, including requirements gathering, process mapping, process re-engineering, optimization, and stakeholder management.
- Experience developing ROI calculations, business cases, and value propositions for automation and transformation initiatives.
- Good understanding of HIPAA and relevant healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate business challenges into technology-enabled solutions.
- Experience with healthcare claims platforms such as Epic, Facets, TriZetto, Availity, Change Healthcare, Carelon, Quanum, or comparable solutions is preferred.
- Experience supporting healthcare payer/provider transformation or consulting engagements is an advantage.
- UiPath Process Mining, Task Mining, or RPA certification is a plus.
- Lean or Six Sigma experience or certification is desirable.
- Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis is an advantage.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR is beneficial.
- Exposure to AI-led transformation and automation use cases within healthcare operations is a plus.
- PMP or Agile certification and experience supporting UAT, change management, implementation, or hypercare activities are desirable.
