This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Bank Rec Analyst based in Canada.
This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of daily bank account reconciliations.
You’ll work with high volumes of financial transactions, identifying discrepancies, missing data, and unusual activity.
The position combines hands-on reconciliation work with data analysis, transaction processing, and financial reporting support.
You’ll collaborate with banking partners, payment processors, internal teams, and operational stakeholders to resolve outstanding items.
Attention to detail and strong analytical judgment will be essential when investigating discrepancies and potential suspicious activity.
The role operates in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organization, and timely execution directly support financial integrity.

Accountabilities:
- Reconcile transactions across assigned bank accounts against operational records in Workday, ensuring entries are complete and accurate.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end bank reconciliations to support management review and external financial reporting.
- Analyze large datasets to identify reconciliation differences, missing information, and outstanding items in Workday and CCC1.
- Investigate and escalate suspicious or potentially fraudulent activity in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with banking partners, payment processors, IT teams, operational locations, and other stakeholders to research and resolve reconciliation issues.
- Respond professionally and promptly to banking and payment-related inquiries, including incoming payment identification, outgoing payment validation, equipment orders, and transaction cancellations.
- Process manual transactions through banking portals, including wires and ACH payments, while following established guidelines and controls.
- Process check deposits for incoming payments, ensuring transactions are accurately coded in Workday and properly reflected by the bank.
- Generate and complete mass uploads of assigned bank statements as required.
- Maintain month-to-date spreadsheets and other financial documentation, including records of daily deposits and account fees.
- Support continuous improvement of reconciliation processes and maintain accurate documentation and records.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in bank reconciliation, accounting, finance operations, or a related financial processing environment is preferred.
- Experience with Workday is an asset.
- Experience with CCC1 is an asset.
- Familiarity with ERP and management systems and experience working with large datasets are advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Solid understanding of accounting processes and bank reconciliation principles.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and investigate underlying causes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high transaction volumes.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work from both home and office environments as required.
