This role is a high-impact, executive-level position focused on driving business growth and strategic partnerships in sustainable infrastructure projects. The Business Development Director will lead complex sales initiatives, develop multi-year client strategies, and secure high-value opportunities through consultative, C-level engagement. This position involves structuring innovative deals, managing cross-functional teams, and delivering long-term value to clients through renewable and infrastructure solutions. The director will act as a trusted advisor, fostering relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and key clients, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role requires a proactive, entrepreneurial leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and is passionate about sustainable infrastructure solutions. Travel is required to maintain client relationships and support strategic pursuits.
Accountabilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies for sustainable infrastructure and IaaS solutions
- Engage with C-level executives to identify, qualify, and close high-value opportunities
- Structure complex deals, including Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain partnerships
- Lead cross-functional pursuit teams including sales, engineering, services, finance, legal, and operations
- Create and communicate compelling proposals, negotiate contracts, and mitigate risk in deal execution
- Mentor and train sales partners across channels to advance strategic initiatives
- Support long-term strategic account planning and broader regional/vertical market growth
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related discipline; MBA preferred
- 5–7+ years of senior-level sales experience in ESCO, EaaS, P3, infrastructure development, or financial sales
- Demonstrated success as a strategic seller and trusted advisor at C-level engagements
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with executive presence
- Proven ability to influence market outcomes and develop long-term client relationships
- Experience managing cross-functional teams to achieve complex deal objectives
- Knowledge of energy, infrastructure, and services industries, including financial and business acumen
- Willingness to travel 30–40% as required
