This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Lead, Consumer Lending based in the United States.

This is a strategic, client-facing individual contributor role focused on accelerating growth across a consumer lending business.
You will manage and expand high-value partnerships while identifying new opportunities to strengthen revenue and market performance.
The role combines business development, partner strategy, commercial negotiation, analytics, and operational execution.
You will work closely with senior business and product leaders to shape initiatives, secure alignment, and bring new ideas to market.
Success will require balancing long-term partnership strategy with hands-on execution across multiple priorities and stakeholders.
The environment is collaborative, flexible, and entrepreneurial, with significant autonomy to solve ambiguous business challenges.
Your work will directly contribute to sustainable revenue growth and the evolution of a differentiated partner ecosystem.

Accountabilities

    • Grow strategic partnerships: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing partners while managing performance against revenue and business objectives across multiple high-impact accounts.
    • Drive revenue growth: Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies that improve partner economics, optimize existing programs, and unlock new sources of profitable growth.
    • Identify new opportunities: Research and qualify prospective partners, develop new business initiatives, and build compelling business cases in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Shape partnership strategy: Help define the broader strategy for the consumer lending portfolio and develop a sustainable partner value proposition that differentiates the business.
    • Optimize commercial economics: Lead opportunity sizing, pricing discussions, negotiations, and economic analysis to maximize the value of strategic partnerships.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with business leadership, Product, and colleagues responsible for partner relationships and program operations to gain alignment and execute initiatives effectively.
    • Improve operational effectiveness: Establish and refine processes, standards, and ways of working that increase efficiency, consistency, and partner performance.
    • Manage complex initiatives: Navigate ambiguous challenges involving multiple internal and external stakeholders, developing practical and creative solutions that support business objectives.
    • Monitor performance: Identify key business drivers, establish meaningful goals, track results, and use data and insights to inform partnership decisions.
    • Represent the business externally: Communicate effectively with partners, executives, and cross-functional teams, tailoring recommendations and messages to different audiences.
    • Requirements

      • 6+ years of experience in strategic business development, B2B partnerships, or related commercial roles, with a demonstrated track record of developing and executing partnership strategies.
      • Experience working with digital affiliates, online businesses, consumer acquisition models, or comparable partnership-driven businesses.
      • Proven ability to deliver and exceed business and revenue objectives through strategic partnerships.
      • Strong understanding of business models, products, commercial strategies, and the drivers of sustainable growth.
      • Highly analytical and results-oriented, with the ability to identify key business drivers, size opportunities, evaluate performance, and make data-informed decisions.
      • Strong strategic and structured thinking, with the ability to quickly understand complex situations and prioritize the activities with the greatest impact.
      • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple products, partner relationships, initiatives, and internal stakeholders simultaneously.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence partners, executives, and cross-functional collaborators.
      • Creative and entrepreneurial mindset, with a willingness to experiment, solve ambiguous problems, and build new programs from the ground up.
      • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
      • Intellectual curiosity and motivation to develop deep expertise in consumer lending and related business areas.
      • Ability to work effectively as a remote U.S.-based individual contributor with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
