Accountabilities
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within state and local government agencies, utilities, and other target markets to achieve annual revenue goals.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, strategic partners, and key decision-makers while expanding existing accounts.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans and account strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
- Lead proposal development activities, coordinating with internal stakeholders to deliver competitive and compelling client solutions.
- Prospect new customers through networking, outreach, and industry engagement to expand the sales pipeline.
- Represent the organization at conferences, trade shows, and regional events to increase market visibility and generate new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful client engagement and exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process.
- Maintain a strong understanding of GIS technologies, geospatial services, and industry trends to effectively position solutions and identify emerging opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience within the geospatial industry.
- 3–5 years of successful outside sales experience focused on GIS services, geospatial technologies, or related software solutions.
- Strong understanding of geospatial services and GIS technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, negotiate, and close complex business opportunities while consistently achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to quickly establish credibility with stakeholders and decision-makers at all organizational levels.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative sales team.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to meet clients and attend industry events.
