This role is a key opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the standardization and optimization of corporate travel and credit card programs. The Category Manager Travel will develop and execute strategies that enhance efficiency, control costs, and streamline operational processes. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong program management skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments. The successful candidate will influence company-wide initiatives, optimize supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with policies while promoting employee-friendly solutions. Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement category management strategies for travel and corporate credit card solutions.
- Drive standardization and simplification of travel booking, expense management, and corporate card usage processes.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives, ensuring effective execution of process improvements and policy updates.
- Analyze travel spend and purchasing patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, HR, and IT teams to ensure seamless program integration.
- Maintain travel policies, procedures, and best practices to support compliance and operational efficiency.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to keep programs competitive and up-to-date.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on travel and corporate card policies and tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in category management, ideally in travel, corporate credit card, or related areas.
- Proven track record in program management with experience leading complex, cross-functional projects.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience with travel management systems and expense reporting tools is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
