This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Client Service Relationship Manager based in Canada.
This role is focused on building trusted, long-term relationships with clients and advisors across Canada within the group savings and retirement space. You will serve as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients, helping them navigate retirement programs, products, services, and evolving industry requirements. The position combines relationship management, technical retirement expertise, communication, presentation, and business development support. You will represent the organization in client and employee meetings while identifying opportunities to improve engagement and participation in workplace retirement programs. Working closely with sales, education, and internal service teams, you will help deliver a consistent and high-quality client experience. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates anywhere in Canada, with bilingual communication skills playing an important role in serving stakeholders nationwide.
Accountabilities:
- Serve as the primary relationship contact for an assigned portfolio of clients across Canada, developing and strengthening trusted long-term partnerships while ensuring a consistently high level of service.
- Represent the organization at client retirement committee meetings, annual meetings, employee meetings, and other stakeholder engagements, delivering clear and professional presentations on retirement programs and related services.
- Provide comprehensive training to new and existing clients on available products, services, and tools, adapting communication and training approaches to different audiences and levels of expertise.
- Manage client expectations through clear, timely, and effective communication while responding proactively to questions, concerns, and evolving client requirements.
- Develop a strong understanding of client needs and identify appropriate solutions that support their objectives while remaining aligned with available capabilities and service standards.
- Collaborate with education and communications teams to develop engagement strategies and identify opportunities to increase pension plan participation, employee understanding, and member engagement.
- Keep clients informed about relevant products, services, legislative developments, and other changes that could affect their group savings and retirement programs.
- Partner with Sales teams on business development activities, including preparing for and participating in finalist presentations and supporting opportunities with prospective clients.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of client service models, strategies, processes, and practices.
- Participate in internal meetings and workshops with other relationship managers to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and identify effective practices that can improve client service and relationship management.
- Detailed knowledge of pension plans and strong technical expertise in group savings and retirement programs, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to clients, advisors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- At least five years of experience in financial services, financial planning, customer service, or a related field, combined with a university degree.
- Demonstrated experience in client relationship management and working with consultants, advisors, or other professional stakeholders.
- Advanced French proficiency is required, as the role involves regularly presenting products, services, and tools, facilitating training sessions, participating in client meetings, and communicating retirement-plan information to stakeholders across Canada.
- Candidates based in Quebec must hold a license for Group Savings & Retirement plans from the Autorité des marchés financiers or be in the process of obtaining the required license.
- Excellent communication, presentation, persuasion, and planning skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build credibility across a diverse client base.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach, with the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to remain effective under pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain a high level of professionalism in client-facing situations.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare polished presentations and client-facing materials.
- Typical hiring range of $70,000–$80,000 CAD per year, with the final base salary determined according to knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity.
