As a Clinical Application Specialist, APT, you will play a key role in supporting the adoption and clinical application of advanced diagnostic solutions across healthcare organizations. Working closely with sales, marketing, and clinical stakeholders, you will provide scientific expertise, deliver product demonstrations, and strengthen customer engagement throughout the region. This role combines clinical knowledge, technical consulting, and customer relationship management to help improve the effective use of innovative healthcare technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams while contributing to business growth, scientific education, and customer success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Accountabilities:
- Lead product demonstrations across the assigned region, ensuring compliance with demonstration standards and delivering engaging scientific presentations.
- Support strategic sales opportunities by participating in customer visits and providing clinical expertise during advanced stages of the sales cycle.
- Partner with regional sales leadership to identify new market opportunities and expand the clinical applications of diagnostic solutions.
- Drive competitive replacement initiatives by positioning solutions against competing technologies and supporting business growth strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, healthcare professionals, and end users through ongoing scientific engagement.
- Respond to clinical and application-related customer inquiries within established service timelines, collaborating with subject matter experts when needed.
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop networks of key users and clinical advocates while supporting educational initiatives.
- Deliver product application training and strengthen the scientific capabilities of sales and service teams across the region.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Science or an equivalent qualification in a relevant healthcare or life sciences discipline.
- Postgraduate specialization in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field; a Ph.D. is considered an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical applications, diagnostics, medical devices, or healthcare technology.
- Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare and diagnostics landscape.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and customer engagement skills with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts effectively.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams while building trusted relationships with customers and healthcare professionals.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (approximately 70% travel).
- Previous experience in clinical sales or customer-facing commercial roles is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to delivering customer success.
