This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Compliance Investigations Manager based in the United States.
This is a senior compliance leadership opportunity within a fast-moving financial technology environment.
You will lead financial crime investigations and regulatory reporting while helping strengthen a scalable, risk-based compliance framework.
The role combines operational leadership with strategic initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, analytics, and regulatory readiness.
You will oversee complex investigations spanning KYC/CDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and blockchain analytics.
As a people leader, you’ll build and develop a high-performing investigations team while establishing clear performance standards and accountability.
You’ll also partner across Compliance and the wider organization to translate emerging risks and regulatory expectations into effective operational practices.

Accountabilities:
- Oversee the execution of operational objectives for the Compliance Investigations program, ensuring investigations are thorough, timely, consistent, and aligned with applicable requirements.
- Lead and scale the investigations function to support business growth while maintaining sustainable risk management and strong compliance controls.
- Manage end-to-end investigations arising from KYC/CDD reviews, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, blockchain analytics, and other financial crime risk signals.
- Oversee the preparation and quality of suspicious activity reports and other regulatory deliverables requiring clear, defensible, and regulator-ready documentation.
- Develop, monitor, and refine KPIs, KRIs, and other operational metrics to assess the health and effectiveness of the investigations program.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Compliance Operations team, fostering accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth.
- Evaluate and improve the technology supporting investigations, including opportunities for automation, analytics, and workflow optimization.
- Identify process improvements based on investigation trends, compliance insights, business initiatives, and evolving regulatory expectations.
- Serve as a senior member of the Compliance organization, providing guidance and support across related compliance workstreams.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and communicate complex compliance matters clearly to leadership and other relevant audiences.
- 6+ years of experience in transaction monitoring and financial crime investigations operations, including hands-on investigation experience and drafting suspicious activity reports.
- 4+ years of experience managing financial crime compliance teams, with a demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and scale operational functions.
- Strong foundational knowledge of AML, KYC, and sanctions regulations, with the ability to apply regulatory requirements to practical investigative processes.
- Demonstrated experience managing operational data and developing or presenting KPIs and KRIs to senior leadership.
- Strong written communication skills, particularly the ability to produce precise and well-supported documentation suitable for review by regulators, auditors, and law enforcement.
- Proven ability to develop and implement process improvements informed by business priorities, compliance data, investigative findings, and emerging risks.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Compliance and other functions.
- Comfortable working in a rapidly evolving financial technology or digital asset environment where regulatory expectations, products, and risks can change quickly.
- Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, ownership, and ability to balance operational execution with longer-term strategic priorities.
- $156,000–$178,425 annual base salary for the stated compensation tier.
- Equity participation as part of the total compensation package.
- Annual bonus opportunity of 15% of base salary, subject to applicable eligibility and company and individual performance.
