This role sits at the intersection of data, design, and strategic communications, transforming complex public health and policy information into clear, actionable insights. You will work closely with government and public-sector stakeholders to shape how data is understood and used for decision-making. The position combines hands-on dashboard development with high-level communications strategy and storytelling. You will design engaging visual products that make technical information accessible to diverse audiences. Operating in a fast-paced consulting environment, you will manage evolving client needs with autonomy and confidence. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence public health outcomes through impactful data communication work.
Accountabilities:
- Lead client-facing advisory work by translating public health goals and complex data into clear communications strategies, dashboards, and visualization solutions that support decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards, interactive reports, and BI products using tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI, ensuring accuracy, usability, and alignment with defined metrics and requirements.
- Develop visual storytelling assets including reports, presentations, infographics, and digital materials that simplify technical content for varied audiences.
- Facilitate client discovery sessions, stakeholder discussions, and refinement workshops to gather requirements and align deliverables with evolving needs.
- Establish and maintain data visualization standards, reusable templates, and scalable design components to improve consistency and efficiency across projects.
- Track performance metrics for dashboards and communication outputs, continuously improving usability, accessibility, and impact based on feedback and analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Data Analytics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, or a related field, with 4–6+ years of relevant experience including client-facing consulting exposure.
- Strong experience developing dashboards and data visualization products using Tableau and/or Power BI, including advanced or custom visualization techniques.
- Solid understanding of data storytelling, information design, and communication strategy, with the ability to translate complex technical content into accessible narratives.
- Experience working with public-sector or public health stakeholders is strongly preferred, along with familiarity with health data, indicators, and reporting frameworks.
- Proficiency with project and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams) and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
