This role is focused on building long-term, trusted relationships with independent retailers, ensuring their success across digital and in-store channels. The Customer Account Manager (CAM) acts as a strategic partner, understanding each retailer’s goals and providing tailored guidance to optimize their digital presence. This position combines account management, customer support, and consultative sales skills, requiring proactive communication, problem-solving, and collaboration across multiple teams. The CAM will lead client interactions, facilitate website and platform updates, and provide actionable insights that drive retailer growth. Accountabilities:
- Manage a portfolio of retailer accounts, fostering trust, long-term partnerships, and consistent business growth
- Develop deep understanding of retailer goals and collaborate on strategies for digital and in-store success
- Guide website updates and ensure alignment with retailer brand and business objectives
- Maintain timely communication via email, phone, and scheduled check-ins to build strong client relationships
- Lead and participate in client-facing calls, webinars, and collaborative sessions with internal teams
- Conduct structured monthly reviews, tracking progress against priorities and action items
- Educate and support retailers on platform tools, features, and digital marketing best practices
- Advocate client needs internally, providing feedback to product and operations teams
- Identify opportunities to enhance retailer performance through additional tools, features, or optimizations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in account management, project management, marketing, or client-facing roles
- Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of retail and e-commerce operations, with digital marketing and analytics familiarity (SEO, SEM, Google Analytics)
- Experience with website platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, or Magento is preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and judgment to make informed recommendations for clients
- Technical comfort with digital tools and Windows-based environments
