This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and maintaining our data architecture and systems to support our rapidly expanding platform. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of our data handling processes and the robustness of reporting functionalities. Working with big data tools, you will address high-volume data challenges, enabling our partners to leverage digital assets more efficiently. As we integrate advanced features in the fintech space, your skills will help drive innovation and improvement in our services while working in a fully remote environment.
Accountabilities
- Use Google Big Query and GCP Suite or similar big data tools to deliver on data warehouse and reporting requirements
- Utilize Databricks and similar ETL tools to perform data extraction and transformation of high volume records
- Architect, design, and build pipelines to move large amounts of data from various sources
- Improve existing data warehouse architecture for enhanced reporting
- Handle large volumes of data and complex integration processes
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Expertise with Firestore is a plus
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in programming primarily around JavaScript, SQL, and Python
- Experience in Web3 and dapps is a plus
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
- Expertise in ETL tools and data transformation
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies and SCRUM processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Interest in digital assets, decentralized finance, and cryptocurrencies
- Passionate about software quality and test-driven development
