In this role, you will be pivotal in leading the design and implementation of complex database solutions that drive mission-critical operations. Your expertise in both on-premises and cloud-based architectures will enable the creation of efficient and scalable data platforms. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will solve complex problems and innovate within the data ecosystem. Your contributions will significantly enhance data-driven decision-making and operational excellence across various industries.
Accountabilities
- Lead global teams in design and architecture discussions.
- Implement scalable database architectures on cloud-native platforms (AWS).
- Optimize applications for cost efficiencies in AWS RDS & EMR.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure integration with existing systems.
- Manage automated operations through CI/CD pipelines and IaC tools.
- Monitor and fine-tune database performance for scalability.
- Implement data protection strategies with encryption and access controls.
- Develop enterprise data models and enforce data standards.
- Research new technologies to enhance database efficiency.
- Create comprehensive documentation for database configurations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 10+ years of Enterprise Data Platform Engineering experience.
- Expertise in multi-cloud database architecture and cross-platform migration.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and DevOps automation tools.
- Familiarity with data governance and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Experience diagnosing complex database issues.
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
- Business continuity planning and high-availability architecture design.
- Mentoring experience with junior engineers.
