This role leads the global sourcing function for a fast-moving technology and security organization, overseeing supplier management, procurement operations, and process optimization at a strategic level. As Director, Global Sourcing, you will manage complex supplier relationships, drive automation and data-driven insights, and ensure alignment with internal stakeholders and governance frameworks. You will lead a high-performing team, implement best-in-class sourcing and procurement practices, and contribute to the overall strategic direction of global procurement. The position requires a balance of operational excellence, technical acumen, and executive leadership in a collaborative, remote-first environment. Your work will directly impact cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and the performance of a global supplier ecosystem.
Accountabilities:
- Lead and develop a team responsible for supplier negotiations, contracting, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional business partner alignment
- Partner with procurement leadership to set strategy, define organizational direction, and optimize global sourcing operations
- Design, develop, and maintain workflows, dashboards, and reports to improve process efficiency and visibility using tools like Power BI, Power Apps, Jira, and SAP
- Provide guidance on process automation, data visualization, and technical solutions to enhance operational performance
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, Legal, Risk, and other cross-functional teams to align procurement processes and systems with organizational goals
- Define and implement procurement governance models, including supplier reviews, KPIs, SLAs, and executive reporting
- Serve as the escalation point for procurement compliance issues, contract deviations, and supplier risk, ensuring timely resolution
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance audit readiness, compliance automation, and performance sustainability
- Ensure global sourcing activities comply with corporate policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in procurement operations, strategic sourcing, supplier management, technology support, process automation, and data visualization
- Proven track record of leading complex procurement teams and driving workflow optimization and automation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in managing technology solutions and process integration for procurement operations
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and collaboration tools
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams in a remote or distributed environment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Preferred: familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, IT Service Management processes, and AI-enabled analytics
