The Chief of Staff (CoS) is a highly strategic, execution-focused, and operationally savvy leader who serves as a trusted partner to the CEO and executive team. This person acts as an integrator across functions, a right-hand to the CEO (but not a gatekeeper) and an internal accelerator to company-wide priorities. The Chief of Staff brings world-class organizational skills, executive-level judgment, and emotional intelligence to bear across a diverse and high-leverage portfolio of strategic, operational, and cross-functional responsibilities.
This role is ideal for a seasoned high-performing generalist who thrives in ambiguity, can think strategically for near and long-term, and brings structure for scale. This individual will spend two years in a Chief of Staff role and then, based on interest and capabilities, land in a high impact operating role within the company.
Please Note: This is a hybrid role, with three (3) in-office days in our Santa Clara, CA offices each week to foster collaboration and connection.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Planning & Execution - Partner with CEO to assess company progress vs. the annual plan - Coordinate and execute OKRs - Own quarterly business reviews (QBRs): define structure, metrics, and cadence - Responsible for the rhythm of the business, including task follow through, scheduling key meetings and preparing advance materials
New Initiative Design - Develop business cases and project plans for new initiatives - Develop proposals and transition plans for cross-functional initiatives
Program Execution & Project Management - Lead execution of high-leverage initiatives to the CEO - Serve as temporary owner for unstaffed experimental projects
Strategic Partnerships - Foster relationships throughout the company and most critically with the executive team -Create cross-functional alignment for effective collaboration and deliverables
What Success Looks Like
First Month - Onboard deeply into strategy and operations - Shadow key leaders; listen and observe CEO and E-team workflows
First 3 Months - Implement OKR + weekly E-team meeting cadence - Recommend and implement CEO playbook to improve operations and impact
First 6 Months - Lead execution of strategic initiatives - Own board prep, QBRs, other initiatives
