LinkedIn Media Productions (LMP) is the company’s in-house creative and production agency. We bring LinkedIn’s story to life for employees, customers, and the world through exceptional live experiences and digital storytelling. Our team spans producers, post-production editors, and account managers, working together to deliver breakthrough content and events.
We power the moments that matter most – from global customer events like Talent Connect and Cannes Lions to internal experiences such as our bi-weekly Company Connect, individual Org All Hands, and VP Connect. We also drive revenue-impacting programs while pushing creative innovation through new formats, AI-driven workflows, and cutting-edge video storytelling.
We’re looking for a Senior Director, LinkedIn Media Productions to lead this world-class creative team. This leader will set vision and strategy for LMP, manage a global team plus vendor partners, and partner closely with senior executives across the company to deliver high-impact storytelling through events and video.
This is a highly visible role for a creative, operational, and strategic leader who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, innovation, and execution. A key part of the role is fostering a team culture of versatility and flow – where people seamlessly move between pre-production, live execution, and post-production, collaborating across disciplines to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Oversee the entire content lifecycle – from ideation to execution – spanning people, projects, and process, ensuring alignment with company goals, audience needs, and editorial standards.
Content Programming & Planning: Drive content calendars, series development, and distribution strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Creative & Production Excellence: Lead live and digital event production, video storytelling, creative direction, post-production, and motion design to ensure innovation, quality, and scalability.
Editorial & Brand Consistency: Uphold brand voice, storytelling principles, and creative standards across all productions.
Elevate Video as a Priority Channel: Champion video as LinkedIn’s owned content priority, delivering compelling stories tailored to diverse audiences across platforms.
Thought Leadership: Produce content and experiences that position LinkedIn as the trusted signal in the changing world of work.
Team Leadership & Culture: Build, inspire, and mentor a diverse global team of ~15, fostering a high-performance creative culture grounded in versatility, collaboration, and professional growth.
Operational Oversight: Manage team structure, production budgets, and vendor/contractor ecosystem to optimize efficiency and scalability.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with marketing, content development, product, and engineering to ensure alignment with broader company strategies
Performance & Insights: Analyze content performance data and apply insights to improve storytelling approaches and audience engagement.
Executive Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to LinkedIn’s leadership team, shaping and executing creative strategies that elevate the company’s brand with employees, customers, press, and industry leaders.
Innovation: Advance AI workflows, measurement frameworks, and new storytelling formats to keep LinkedIn at the forefront of creative production.
Basic Qualifications
12+ years of experience in media, production, events, or related creative leadership roles.
Experience leading multidisciplinary creative and production teams at scale.
Experience working with senior executives and translating strategic business goals into creative outputs.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep expertise in live event production, video storytelling, and creative direction.
Strong understanding of both internal (employee engagement) and external (customer/industry) communications.
Demonstrated ability to innovate with new formats, channels, and workflows (AI, vertical video, quality metrics).
Excellent people leadership skills, with a track record of building inclusive, high-performing teams.
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple high-stakes priorities.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $198,000 to $326,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
